FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New Mexico Motor Racing Association Announces POWRi Sanctioning
Albuquerque, NM (Feb 15, 2020) – The board of the directors with the New Mexico Motor Racing Association, abbreviated as NMMRA, is happy to announce today the formation of the POWRi Lucas Oil NMMRA Sprint Car Series, effective
immediately. “We are very excited to announce that NMMRA will now be sanctioned by POWRi,” said NMMRA president, JR Bonesteel. “This is a move that will ultimately help grow sprint car racing in New Mexico and allow drivers to compete for more incentives throughout the season.
Drivers, team owners and fans should not see any major differences on the surface throughout the year as we will keep the same rules package that we currently utilize.” The new series formation creates a tremendous amount of value for all parties involved. The ultimate goal for this transition is to welcome more drivers to the NMMRA and POWRi families and help rejuvenate the sport.
